Floriday Trip Days 6 and 7: Magic Kindgom and Hollywood Studios

Our day at Magic Kingdom was really chilly and rainy. To add to the problems, I had hurt my foot a few days earlier and it was really bothering me. We got there at the park opening and rode a bunch of rides before the crowds set in... but we left for a much needed nap a few hours later. We had lunch at the resort... I got some kids' mac and cheese... why is it so satisfying?

Can we talk about this? Excuse me, but there's a GIANT CRANE sticking out of the castle. Ugly. Construction was everywhere during this trip but this was just a bit ridiculous. All of the hub was basically covered up as well, including the Partners Statue. Sigh. And those clouds! All day, I tell you.
Now, we still had a fun time, really the only ride that was down was Splash Mountain, which is too bad because it's Brent's favorite.
Tiki! Adventureland really is beautiful.

Ok... after a somewhat restful day, we were feeling much better for Hollywood Studios the next morning!

Sigh... I think this is just a FastPass kiosk now. It used to have the coolest Hollywood memorabilia.

Remember that giant crane sticking out of the castle? Yea, this is probably even worse. Half of a Sorcerer's Hat?! But this didn't really bother me as much because I'm excited about its departure... never liked that thing.

Pretty colors.

Chinese Theater.

Dinosaur Gertie! Oooh I hope she stays... the entire Echo Lake area is so charming.

Prime Time. Love. Decor inspiration everywhere.

This picture! Look at my smile!

Inside One Man's Dream: I really loved everything about this old Bambi poster. The colors, the fonts, and of course the animations.

Scale model of Adventureland.

SciFi Dine In. A must for every trip. The food is alright but the atmosphere can't be beat.

Great colors and lettering inside.

Brent in our conver-table.

Outside the restaurant

Brent and Bill. Sigh.

Hollywood Studios closed around 7 or 8 so we took the boat over to EPCOT for the evening.

And here are some pretty pictures of Spaceship Earth with palm trees and lights:

It was a really wonderful day, did I mention that I let us sleep in?! I'm so kind...
